A special event was held last week at CMM’s Laboratory for Material Science and Spectrometry hosting Year 12 Students from the National Youth Science Forum. This two-day event provided students hands-on experience in the use of state-of-the-art research equipment, exploring the nature of materials in composition and crystal structure. This event provided a unique perspective in the application of imaging and analysis techniques to solve real world, urgent challenges. These techniques are frequently applied in all scientific disciplines ranging from life-science, medicine to material science and engineering. Such a wonderful event, having these "tomorrow’s experts” in our laboratory and we wish them an exciting and prosperous future.
