Scientific Excellence & Industry Engagement
The conference provided an invaluable platform for researchers, industry leaders, and emerging professionals to present groundbreaking work and explore new collaborations. From advances in electron, ion, and optical microscopy through to microanalysis, correlative imaging and data handling, APMC13 demonstrated the dynamic and rapidly evolving landscape of microscopy. Workshops both before and following the conference provided a rich environment for engagement, allowing attendees to deepen their expertise, discuss challenges, and explore new techniques.
A Celebration to Remember
One of the most memorable moments was the Social Gala Dinner, where 390 participants gathered to celebrate the achievements of the community. This occasion marked the 65th Anniversary of JEOL Australasia, celebrated with a TEM JEOL Microscope Cake generously sponsored by Professor Roger Wepf. As the cake was unveiled to the words, “it wouldn’t be a birthday without a birthday cake”, all attendees joined in singing "Happy Birthday to JEOL", making it a truly unforgettable occasion.
