Dr Justin Kimpton

Dr Justin Kimpton is a beam line scientist at the Australian Synchrotron in Melbourne , Australia. He is an expert in x-ray diffraction with research interests in developing new materials for energy production applications. The CMM’s close relationship with the Australian Synchrotron is important in that the CMM facilitates access to this national facility for researchers in Queensland. Having Dr Kimpton closely associated with the CMM further strengthens our commitment to support national facilities and to educate researchers in the availability of characterization techniques other than electron microscopy. Dr Kimpton is a regular visitor to the CMM and has ongoing projects in collaboration with Professor Drennan and Dr Graeme Auchterlonie.
