Researcher biography

Dr Matthias Floetenmeyer has returned to our UQ node, the CMM, as the Flagship Manager of the Cryo-Transmission Electron Microscopy facility - a role he held previously from 2007 to 2010.  Dr Floetenmeyer has come to CMM from the Max-Planck Institute for Developmental Biology in Tuebingen, Germany where he was head of the electron microscopy facility, which provided services for over 210 scientists not only to the Max-Planck Institute but also to the Friedrich-Miescher Laboratory.  He has extensive expertise of using cryo-TEM and single particle analysis in biomedical research and in teaching these techniques to facility users.
