Dr Justin Freeman

Dr Justin Freeman is a microscopy specialist with a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Western Australia and broad experience across electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, spectroscopy, X-ray microanalysis and automated mineralogy. He previously worked as an SEM Applications Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, supporting academic and industry users across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, and contributing to advanced SEM, Maps Min and workflow development. Justin has worked across geoscience, materials and life science applications, with particular strengths in SEM, EDS, TEM, AFM, EBSD, data analysis and user training. At UQ, he supports researchers with SEM and automated mineralogy workflows, training and data analysis.
