Researcher biography
Zachary joined the CMM team in early 2022, after he obtained his Honours from the University of Queensland, School of Mathematics and Physics in 2021. He is currently a PhD candidate here at UQ, working on the nano fabrication and low-temperature measurement of superconducting devices for use in quantum computing. His research has a focus on the characterisation of materials used within the devices, illuminating their overall impact on device performance. Zach uses electron beam lithography (EBL), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and a range of other fabrication and characterisation tools within his research.
