Leica HPM100, High Pressure Freezer

The Leica HPM100 High Pressure Freezer is used to vitrify living cells and tissues under high pressure and low temperature. Vitrification is a prerequisite for subsequent high quality electron microscopy imaging and is the initial step in workflows leading to both scanning and transmission electron microscopes.
