The CMM cryoEM Challenge invites UQ researchers to present cryoEM results acquired using CMM facilities. The goal of this challenge is to have some fun by showcasing the best structures, tomograms, and images, or by creating figures that visualize in-situ research processes. We also aim to celebrate this excellent work by displaying a collection of these images in our CMM QBP lab. To reward the hard work researchers are putting in, we offer several prizes for the winners (see details below).

The challenge will be held quarterly on the following dates:

Round 1: Friday 20th of February
Round 2: Friday 15th of May
Round 3: Friday 7th of August
Round 4: Friday 6th of November

Entry:

CryoEM clients to upload their best work to the QBP structure repository and, email the file to Lou Brillault, along with a brief description of the biology and the processing workflow.

Voting:

The entries will be presented to CryoEM clients during the monthly in-person user meeting to vote on their favorite structure in real-time using a live polling app.
