Join our introductory ‘Who and What is CMM’ half day workshop to find out more about research options and services provided by the Centre for Microscopy & Microanalysis (CMM) at UQ across all research disciplines.
This is a free session showcasing specific and new capabilities in the CMM laboratories.
When: Thursday 6th April 2023, 14:30 – 17:00 (AEST)
Where: UQ St. Lucia, AIBN Building 75, Level 1 Seminar Room
Zoom: https://uqz.zoom.us/j/81366083548
Overview
This is an opportunity, not only for new researchers and students but for anyone interested to learn more about material characterisation capabilities at UQ and to find out more about CMM research capabilities and activities, consultations and services provided by the Centre. CMM offers Imaging and Chemical Analysis of natural and man-made materials and Material Performance Analysis (UQMP), including Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy (SEM, TEM) and Analytic (EDX, WDX), Ion Milling (FIB/SEM), Xray Diffraction (XRD) and SAXS, WAXS, Spectroscopy and Imaging, elemental and chemical mapping as well Imaging Mass Spectrometry and last but not least Nanofabrication with Electron beams (EBL).
Whether you work with biological or non-biological, organic or inorganic materials and devices, there will be something for you to learn and see.
