The Glacios is a 200 kV automated cryo-transmission electron microscope that is designed to collect data from a wide range of biological samples.

Detectors:

  • Falcon 4i direct electron detector for low dose high sensitivity collection cryoEM data collection.
  • Ceta-D is a scintillator based CMOS camera with a high dynamic range specifically designed to record electron diffraction data.
  • EMPAD electron microscope pixel array detector for 4D STEM applications.
  • HAADF High Angle Annular Dark Field detector for STEM applications.

Software:

  • EPU for the automated collection of data sets used in the 3D single particle reconstruction (3D-SPR) biological macromolecules.
  • EPU-D for the collection of electron diffraction date from protein and non-protein crystals for electron crystallography.
  • Tomography 5 for the automated imaging of samples at different tilt-angles used in electron tomography for samples ranging from bacteria to small tissues and cells.
