The FEI Tecnai F30 G2 is a 300kV TEM with a field emission gun (FEG), which produces a highly coherent, bright beam for higher resolution imaging. In combination with a twin-lens objective pole-piece, a goniometer with a ±70°tilt range, and a precise compustage the F30 is an ideal instrument for the acquisition of tomographic data, and for the high-resolution imaging of macromolecular assemblies for single particle analysis. With a wide range of specialized specimen holders, including single-tilt and tilt/rotate holders for cryo and for room temperature conditions, we are able to image both biological and material samples. This microscope is currently fitted with a Gatan OneView camera and driven by Digital Micrograph and/or SerialEM software.
