Researcher biography
My interest in how proteins functioned led me to Biochemistry as an undergraduate major, and as a postgraduate to the study of enzyme mechanisms, and finally to protein structure. Along the way I have collected a BSc (Hons) and a MSc from UQ, and a PhD from Griffith University. I have had extensive experience in HTS, protein expression, chemical cross-linking, mass spectroscopy, and protein crystallography.
Within CMM’s UQROCX, I maintain the crystallisation condition screening library and train users in the use of the software and hardware needed to exploit this library. I also provide crystallisation, diffraction data collection and processing, and molecular model production services.
