10 years managing a large microscopy facility at the Translational Research Institute in Queensland. This included training users and assisting on different light microscopy platforms, from basic to Multiphoton, Confocal and Super-Resolution. Giving presentations to a broad range of audiences from PhD to primary school students (SPARQ-Ed Program). Prior to that, 6 years as post-doctoral fellow working both at UQ and 2 years at Washington University, St Louis. USA. In the field of Molecular and Cellular Biology, with particular focus on the MAPK kinase pathway. 14 publications in high ranking scientific journals. Passionate about science, microscopy and sharing that enthusiasm with others.
