Researcher biography

After completing a Bachelor of Mechanical and Materials Engineering in 2012, Dr James Mead submitted his PhD in the field of Nanomechanics at The University of Queensland in 2018. Continuing into 2019 he works as a Postdoctoral Research Officer developing micro and nanoscale mechanical characterisation techniques under optical microscopes as well as inside scanning electron microscopes (SEM). James joined the CMM team in 2019, and is heavily involved in transmission electron microscope (TEM) sample preparation and client training on the FEI SCIOS SEM/FIB Dual Beam system.
